The federal government annually makes available billions of dollars that energy communities could use to invest in infrastructure, environmental cleanup, union job creation, community revitalization efforts and more. But finding these funding sources can be a challenge, especially for smaller communities who are often rural and under resourced.
That’s why the IWG recently debuted a free, online clearinghouse — EnergyCommunities.gov/funding — that curates relevant opportunities from across the federal government in to one easy-to-access location.
To learn more about the IWG’s clearinghouse of funding opportunities and how to use this important new tool, please register below for our next webinar on Thursday, January 27, 2022, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm ET. This virtual session will include:
- An overview of the +60 open or planned funding opportunities currently on the clearinghouse, including many that do not require matching funds.
- A how-to guide for finding and filtering relevant funding opportunities based on a community’s specific needs.
- Representatives from multiple federal agencies discussing notable funding sources that are both currently available and coming soon.
